We just got into geocaching, eh, and decided to go and hide this cache. Who knew we could be such bit heads! Hey, what did you call us?
So this is like a letterbox cache - there are two ways you can find it.
The much more FUN way is to find the cache using some instructions. So here's how to get to the cache, eh. There is a nice paved path that goes between Woodroffe and Pinetrail. It's a beauty! You can park at either end (Pinetrail or Norice).
1. The coordinates are your starting place. There is a big trail that leads south off the paved path. Take a swig of beer and head that way... but no beer if you're driving, cause that's illegal eh! 2. After 25 or 26 steps you should see a big tree on your right. Just checking! Time for some beer! 3. After another 25 or 26 steps there should be another big tree right by the path - still checking on you! Hic. 4. After another 69 or 70 steps there is a Y intersection. You should hang a left here, eh! And take another swig of beer. Mmmm, beer! 5. At this point we nearly lost track of our steps, cause we aren't that good at math. And we had a few cold ones. But, you keep heading along the foot path for about another 130 steps. 6. Now you're close to the cache. On your left about 6 or 7 steps into the bush is a large tree with 3 trunks, and the cache is stuck in there.
The other way to find the cache is the GPS way (for hosers): from the posted location, make a projection of 183 meters and 159 degrees. That should get you close, eh! But maybe not TOO close, because math was never our strong suit, eh!
We picked a container that we found in the kitchen - I hope the missus (and junior) don't mind. Celebrate your find with another beer!
There's a small letterbox stamp in the cache. Please leave it there after you use it!
Good day, eh!
UPDATE July 24 2022. The cache is fine, altough the landscape has been messed up by the big storm. The previous reference tree is gone now, so it may be easier to do the projection rather than pacing off the distances.
