Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed in Devon Valley in an area known to most wine lovers.


A tuberous perennial plant up to 1 m tall with its familiar, white spathe-like flower- heads and central, flower-bearing, yellow column. This species is common in damp places. It is frequently seen growing along roadsides, and is cultivated worldwide. Zantedeschia = after Francesco Zantedeschi, d. 1846, Italian physician and botanist, writer of Italian flora
