[ITA] Le Nutrie della Martesana
La nutria (Myocastor coypus), detta anche comunemente castorino, è un mammifero roditore originario del Sud America, unica specie vivente del genere Myocastor e della famiglia Myocastoridae.
Rapporti con l'uomo:
La Nutria è intensivamente cacciata per la sua pelliccia e in alcune regioni anche come fonte di cibo ed è considerata un animale invasivo. Infatti le sue tane danneggiano dighe e sistemi di irrigazione ed inoltre fa irruzioni in risaie e altre colture. Alcuni stati hanno intrapreso attività di eradicazione nel proprio territorio di questa specie. È inserita nell'elenco delle 100 tra le specie invasive più dannose al mondo.
La Martesana è uno dei navigli con il maggior numero di nutrie nel Comune di Milano e la densità è massima delle presenza di questi animali è proprio nel punto dove è piazzata la cache. Potete ammirare le nutrie nuotare durante il giorno tra paperelle e altri volatili in pacifica convivenza e la sera uscire allo scoperto e brucare l'erba sulla riva del naviglio come una qualsiasi capretta.
La cache è proprio nel posto preferito delle nutrie. Le coordinate sono molto precise (+/- 1,5mt) e quindi non viene fornito alcun ulteriore hint.
Portate la macchina fotografica. Per quanto possiate pensare, non sono grossi topi ma solo piccoli castori.

[ENG] The Nutrie Martesana
The nutria (Myocastor coypus), also commonly known as nutria is a rodent native mammal in South America, only living species of the genus Myocastor and Myocastoridae family.
Relationship with man:
Nutria is intensively hunted for its fur and in some regions even as a food source and is considered an invasive animal. In fact, his dens damage dams and irrigation systems and also makes raids in rice fields and other crops. Some states have undertaken eradication activities on the territory of this species. It is inserted in the list of 100 of the most harmful invasive species in the world.
The Martesana is one of the canals with the highest number of otters in the City of Milan and the density is maximum of the presence of these animals is just where the cache is placed. You can admire the otters swim during the day between ducks and other birds in peaceful coexistence and in the evening come out and graze the grass on the bank of the canal like any kid.
The cache is right in the favorite place of otters. The coordinates are very accurate (+/- 1.5 m) and therefore does not provide any further hints.
