HISTORY: The school was established prior to 1874 but after 1863. It was not listed as a school in the school directory in 1958-59. It was located on the northwest corner of Turrill Road and M-24 and on the main Turrill farm, the Turrill family was a very large one. The school was turned into a home but due to the residential development in that area the school was moved to Baldwin Road not far from the present day rear entrance to Taco Bell, eventually it was demolished. Powers Farm Market had owned it for many years but it fell into disrepair.
