Located on a trail at the Alex Fraser Research Forest Knife Creek Block. A short distance off Highway 97. The trail loops around and has 10 Educational Signs that provide information on the Mule Deer, Tree Blankets, Tree Umbrellas and more! A fun little walk with some up and down hills.
The first cache out here has been kind of lonely with not a lot of visits although the Knife Creek Mule Deer Trail is a very short distance off the highway. There are pamphlets at the start of the trail and an outhouse. You can learn about trees, vegetation, harvesting and the mule deer inhabitants. We actually found dropped antlers when we were placing the new caches. Part way along there trail there is a bench where you can sit and rest and enjoy the view. The terrain varies and is interesting. The whole loop is probably a couple hundred metres off a kilometre. The container is a small lock and lock which may not be accessible in the winter although the trail could be snowshoed. Best way to start on the trail is go to the right past the outhouse. Check map at start to see information signs in order.
