Phillipskop Mountain Reserve is 246ha (608 acres) in size and occupies the southerly slopes of the Klein River Mountains just to the east of Stanford. Most of the reserve is pristine mountain fynbos that supports over 400 species of plant.
The cache is 6 of 6 that follow a loop round two of the hiking trails that take in some of the highlights of the reserve and encourage people to explore. The loop can also be done in reverse, starting with this one.
A small entrance fee for day visitors is payable at the reception to access the reserve.
