When I was a child back in the sixties I used to stay with my grandparents on the Warren. At times the pipe used to Hiss, obviously venting air from somewhere. In the dark it was quite scary. The pipe does not seem to vent anymore but it is still there! perhaps someone will be able to tell me what it is and what it was venting?
