It's BACK by popular demand...we were so sad to see one of our favorite parts of FFF disappear that we decided to step up & host it ourselves! We hope you all are just as excited about it as we are!
This event will be conveniently held at the pavillion at the Fish & Wildlife Commission's Ocala Conservation Center & Youth Camp on Eaton Lake in the Ocala National Forest from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. There is a 15 pot limit. So, if you think you've got the BEST chili around, please contact me SOON to get your name on the list.
Judging will begin promptly at 5:00pm. So, whether you prepare your chili at home & bring it in a crockpot OR you cook it over an open fire at the campground, you must be ready on time. You must provide your own garnish (crackers, cheese, onions, etc...be creative!). In addition, please bring a long extension cord if you require electricty. I will provide sampling cups & spoons.
Everyone is welcome to attend & taste each entry. And, there will be a PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD...so savor every bite & be prepared to vote on your personal favorite.
In addition to the coveted People's Choice Award, prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
