So to welcome in Spring, Daylight Saving, and the Turangi event becoming a Mega lets get out and celebrate.
Just recently I visited Anawhata Beach and found it to be just beautiful. Being only reached by foot (we walk from the carpark), means less crowds than the nearby Piha beach.
For this event, because there is so much to do, you can make the choice of whether you stay in the carpark, walk down to the beach for an explore, or perhaps a longer walk up into the valley.
This is not a safe beach for swimming.
