This is a mystery cache, THERE IS NO CACHE AT THE POSTED COORDINATES. Repeat - there is no cache at the posted coordinates.
This is my first attempt at art, I hope you enjoy it. This is #17 in the series. The rest will follow over the next couple weeks and will take you to many out of the way corners of Shandaken.
It is up to you , the geocache hunter, to decide to wait for the whole series or go for each as they get published. Can you guess the art will be?
Back in the day the railroads brought many tourists up from NYC for the summer or to go skiing. Those days are long gone once you solve the puzzle and get to GZ you will get a feel for how things were then. Ulster County has removed the steel, but the stones left still tell a story.
For the puzzle - I did one of these puzzles while out in western NY and thought it would go well here. It is amazing what information can be found in what looks like a simple mosaic of black and white
I've rated the difficulty a 2.5 due to being a puzzle cache, the need for translation and the final's hide. I'd be willing to alter that based on feedback if folks think it is unfair. Also, I rated the terrain a 1, if you you wander someplace that isn't a 1, then either your coords are off or mine are (and I double checked mine).
Please bring a pen and extraction tool! No sign, no logging!
Good Luck and Cache On!
