Geocache Description:

Always looking for a good reason to plant a couple of easy caches, while I make one more exciting, I have decided to do some Welcome Caches. This is the second and it welcomes you to Hallandale Beach.

Hallandale was named after Luther Halland. He was a Swedish worker on the Florida East Coast Railroad. The city is a total of 4.55 square miles with a population over 35,000. It is the home of well known horse tracks and is also where Hurricane Katrina made landfall.

Happy caching!
