Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache so no room for any swag.  Bring your own writing implement.

A large cemetery in Ontario County.  No night caching please. Do not upset or disturb any markers or headstones. You do not need to move or touch any of them to collect the information needed. Gentle respect for the occupants is expected. Please don't bring animals or allow small children to run about. If you have your children with you, by all means have them help collect the information you need and use this as a learning experience for them about proper cemetery behavior.

Here is a cemetery cache with a little work involved.  You have to locate certain headstones and use the dates to calculate the final cache location.  When you have a date such as 1/1/2016 add the zero in the day field to yield the needed number (e.g. 1012016).

Find the following stones and make note of the dates of death listed.

Start at the flagpole in the center of the cemetery.  The first marker is about 10 feet northeast

Continue on the same heading another 60 feet and find A.B., a PFC in the US Army, who was a purple heart awardee from WWII.

Go about 10 feet south and find a Staff Sgt of the 21st Infantry, 24th Division

Sum up the dates and subtract 14207665 to determine Latitude for the cache location

Head west and find James & Ann.  Use the date they were married

Now head a little west of north and find a black stone with initials C.O.

Now head a little west of south and find Mr. Smith from WWII

Sum up the dates and subtract 9562484 to determine Longitude for the cache location which is a short drive (3/4 mile) away.

Please make sure you close the top tightly to keep things dry inside. You can validate your solution by clicking the icon below. Make sure you enter a space after “N” and “W” and after the degrees portions of the solution (your answer should look like N 99 99.999 W 99 99.999 including the spaces)

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
