Geocache Description:

After coming around a corner on the Hike Bike Trail, as you approach On the Rocks cache, your first impression may be you're approaching a paved area of the trail. What you will soon find yourself on is solid bed rock. This rock layer is at the base level of an old abandoned rock quarry. What better place to have a cache.

The 3.2 mile long Hike Bike Trail is a combination of packed gravel and blacktop which runs along Lick Creek and Highway 245. If you decide to hike or bike this trail be aware that this is not a loop trail and you will need to return along the same path for a total of 6.4 miles. Parking for the trailhead is located at N37 55.540 W085 39.180.	Bedrock Base of an Old Rock Quarry

Your looking for a large plastic PB jar. This cache has been approved by Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest. Bernheim has established guidelines and a permitting process for this type of activity. Details are available at Bernheim.org.
