Geocache Description:

Coalmine Projections
The Anglesea open-cut brown coal mine commenced operations in 1959, supplying coal to industry and institutions in the Geelong area. It was projected to contain 160 million tonnes of coal, but we'll never know the true scale as the mine was closed in 2015 after 80 million tonnes had been extracted.

Please pay attention to the sign at WP1 - off-road driving is only permitted on formed tracks in the Anglesea Heath, not on Council land.

To find this cache you don't need to do any coal content projections, but you will need to do a GZ cache projection. Just project a waypoint from the posted co-ordinates to GZ which is 120 metres away at a bearing of 29 degrees.
