Under its former name, Novotel Creswick Forest Golf Course, the resort negotiated the rights to host the Victorian PGA Championship for five years, of which it was played only twice during the seasons 2012 - 2013. The current management ceased that agreement. Professional golfers who played eighteen holes traversed a total distance of 6019 meters.
The extended 18-hole, par 72, championship golf course now measures over 6,400m and incorporates natural vegetation in a bushland setting with 15 picturesque lagoons to add to the challenge of the game and beauty of the environment. Multiple tee positions suit all levels of golfer from the novice to the expert.
The design has allowed for the natural flow of the land to determine the course routing where possible using all available ground elements, ridges, swales, spurs and trees to create golf course holes with individuality, visual beauty and strategic flexibility.
