Geocache Description:

Located on over 15-acres, Heritage Park is home to the historic Groveport Log House.  The Log House was originally built in 1815 and was moved from the intersection of Madison & Main Streets to its current location in Heritage Park.  The Log House is available for rent.  The Community Affairs Dept. also offers a number of Nature Center programs at the historic Log House. Kids and adults can both be found with their rod and reel at Palm’s Pond.  The pond is stocked annually by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Surrounding the pond is a ¾ mile crushed stone leisure path with resting benches and grills.  Along the southwest corner of the pond is a picnic shelter. Concerts are periodically held at the Heritage Park Stage during the summer months. The Annual Apple Butter Day Festival takes place at Heritage Park in October. The Groveport Community Garden was also added to the park in the spring of 2012.

This cache is just a short walk from the parking area. Once you arrive at GZ, it might take a keen eye to find the container. Once found, you will most likely need tweezers to retrieve the container itself, as well as the log, so BYOP.

Please replace the cache exactly as you find it to ensure the next cacher has the same experience. Beware of muggles, and please obey park rules and only cache from dawn to dusk.

Happy hunting!
