Geocache Description:


This is No37 in a series of caches, some will be at sporting venues others may not.

The Brownlow Medal was formally Charles Brownlow Trophy.

It is a individual award given to a player who is judged to be the fairest and best player in the

Australian Football League during the regular season.

This is decided by votes by the officiating umpires after each game.

The Medal has been awarded every year since 1924 with the exception of an intermission

from 1942 to 1945 due to World War 2.

Players are ineligible to win the Medal if they have been suspended for on field offences.

The 1970 Brownlow Medal was won by Peter Bedford from the South Melbourne [Swans] football team.

He had 25 votes.

The cache may be difficult to get if there are any sporting events being held.

The cache is a small screw top container. It has a logbook and a few swaps. BYO Pen.
