Geocache Description:

The third in the Quay Place trail, the Tooley Almshouses on Foundation St stand today as a legacy of the wealthy merchant who became Portman, Bailiff (mayor) and Chamberlain of Ipswich, Henry Tooley, and his wife Alice.

When he died, Tooley left a large sum of money to a foundation (hence Foundation Street) which built the original almshouses over the road from this geocache. The almshouses were rebuilt in the 19th century.

This is the third in trail that starts at Quay Place (although you don't have to do them in order), which is where you will find Henry Tooley's tomb.

The cache is a nano and is magnetic.
