Geocache Description:

A quick cache and dash by a nice memorial in downtown Welland, though stealth required. Plenty of parking, and it can be a nice area to walk around in.

This memorial monument was erected in the year
2001, by the citizens of Welland, under the vision
and sponsorship of the Welland Multicultural
Centre. It is a tribute to all immigrants and those
who came from many parts of Canada to make the
Welland Ship Canal a reality. Their labours and
sacrifices have laid the foundation for the City of
Welland and its neighbouring communities
