Writing on the Wall

This multi-cache will give you a pretty nice walking tour of downtown Pine Mountain. Before you start your walk, here is a little history of this charming town ...

The town began in 1882 when the Columbus and Rome Railroad spread to Pine Mountain from Columbus. The community was formerly known as Chipley and was named after Colonel W. D. Chipley, a partner in the promotion of the railroad. The name was changed to Pine Mountain on February 19, 1958, after publicity generated by nearby Callaway Gardens established the location as a vacation resort. Although the railroad tracks have been torn up and trains no longer roll through town, it's still fun to imagine the excitement of a locomotive steaming right along Main Street.

To begin, start at the posted coordinates. There is plenty of parking near the first stop. Answer the question correctly and move on to that set of coordinates. Incorrect answers lead you down the wrong track.
