Στο τέλος του φαραγγιού της Ίμπρου, στους πρόποδες του βουνού και σε υψόμετρο περίπου 200μ βρίσκεται το χωριό Κομιτάδες Σφακίων. Η θέση του προσφέρει πανέμορφη θέα στο Λιβυκό πέλαγος και τα νησιά Γαύδο και Γαυδοπούλα, αλλά και στους ελαιώνες τριγύρω.
Ο δρόμος που διασχίζει το χωριό είναι τόσο στενός ώστε γίνεται μονής κυκλοφορίας, που σημαίνει ότι όλα τα οχήματα πρέπει να πηγαίνουν αργά και προσεκτικά. Πάνω στη στενή στροφή βρίσκεται η Εκκλησία του Αγίου Γεωργίου που αξίζει μια φωτογραφία.
Στο χωριό υπάρχουν ταβέρνες και ενοικιαζόμενα δωμάτια. Μια επίσκεψη εκεί πάντα αξίζει τον κόπο.

The village of Komitades is located at the end of the Imbros Gorge overviewing the coast of Sfakia. It is located at the foot of the mountains on a hill of an altitude of about 200m. An one-lane road crosses the village. There is a narrow curve where all vehicles have to pass slowly and carefully.

Am Ende der Imbros Schlucht in Sichtweite der sfakischen Küste liegt das Dorf Komitades. Es liegt am Fuß der Berge auf einer Anhöhe von etwa 200 m. Durch den Ort führt eine einspurige Straße mit einer sehr engen Kurve wo die Busse und LKW langsam und vorsichtig durchfahren müssen.
An der Kurve steht die Ekklisia Agios Georgios, immer ein Foto wert.
Die Landschaft wird geprägt durch Olivenbäume und bietet einen unvergesslichen Blick auf das libysche Meer und die Inseln Gavdos und Gavdopola.
Ein Besuch lohnt sich immer, es gibt Tavernas und auch Gästezimmer im Ort.
