A cache közel van az Újpest Városkapu metrómegállóhoz. Régebben ez volt a régi és új Pest határa, napjainkban a XIII. és a IV. kerület találkozása. Ezt az “új” várost a Duna bal oldalán alapították 1838-ban. Hivatalosan 1907-ben kapott városi rangot és 1950-ben csatolták Budapesthez, így alakult ki a főváros ma ismert formája.
Magáról a cashe-ről:
Azért választottam ezt a helyet, mert a közelben dolgoztam több, mint egy évig. Csodásan telt ez az ott eltöltött idő és szuper kedves emberekkel találkoztam, akiknek bemutattam a geocachinget. Ezért döntöttem úgy, hogy a legelső cachemet ide rejtem el. Bár visszaköltöztem haza Csehországba, a korábbi kollegáim tudnak segíteni, ha bármi probléma lenne.
Egy olyan tábla közelében rejtőzik a cache, ami üdvözöl a XIII. kerületben közel egy benzinkúthoz. A cache mérete micro, csak egy logbookot tartalmaz, nem volt hely tollnak úgyhogy kérlek hozz magaddal egyet.

Some words about the history:
The cache is placed near the Ujpest Varoskapu metro station which in translation means City gate to new Pest. There used to be borders between old and new Pest where nowadays the 13th and the 4th district meet. This “new“ city was formed on the left bank of the Danube River in 1838. It received a city status in 1907 and was connected to Budapest in 1950. That is how the so called Greater Budapest was created.
About the cache itself:
I chose this location because I used to work nearby for more than one year. I spent a wonderful time there and met super nice people to which I introduced geocaching. That is why I decided to hide my very first cache here. Although I moved back home to the Czech Republic, my former colleagues can help in case of any problem with the cache.
It is hidden by the sign welcoming you to the 13th district close to a gas station. Size of the cache is micro containing just the logbook, there was no space for a pen so please bring your own.
