If ever the conversation turned to Classical music my Granddad would say, "You know Guissepe Verdi means Joe Green?" even if you were talking about some other era or nationality of composer. It was one of his go to jokes. My Grandmother would talk a lot about the time they were in Florence and bought some jewelry on "The Old Ponte Vecchio Bridge" which would lead Granddad to say, "You just said Old Bridge Old Bridge. Like Soup Du Jour of the day!" I think sometimes she said it just to bug him.
So when Issaquah finally finished this park and the pathway connecting the two existing parks I knew what I had to do. So dust off a bottle of cheap red wine and pour some out for my Granddad may he rest in peace.
