The Geocache is not at the published coordinates. Gather information from the plaque to the right of the main entry doors to find the final coordinates.

The first library in Auburn was housed in a local drugstore but space was limited. As the city grew the need for a larger and more permanent location became clear. On May 17, 1912 a $9,000 grant was received from steel magnate and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie for the construction of a library.

The Arthur C Ballard family, who's parents were early settlers in the area, donated the land. Seattle architect David J. Myers designed the building and in 1914 the new library opened. This building served as Auburn's library for half a century. When a new library was opened in 1964 this building and land reverted to the Ballard family and is now a dance and music studio.

To find the geocache climb the steps to the front doors and look for the plaque to the right. Using the information on that plaque solve for the final coordinates.
How many letters in the second word of the first line? Let that number equal 'A'.
How many letters in the first word of the third line? Let that number equal 'B'
How many letters in the last word in the forth line? Let that number equal 'C'
How many letters in the last word in the fifth line? Let that number equal 'D'
How many letters in the first word in the first line? Let that number equal 'E'
How many letters in the last word in the first line? Let that number equal 'F'
How many letters in the first word in the fourth line? Let that number equal 'G"
How many letters in the second word of the last line? Let that number equal 'H'
How many letters in the last word in the last line? Let that number equal 'I'

Now plug those numbers into the this formula to find the coordinates for the final:

N 47 1A.BCD
W 122 1E.F(G+H)I
Check Sum: A+B+C+D = 28 and E+F+G+H+I = 20

2016 is the 125th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Auburn, Washington. Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation, auburntourism.com, and the WSGA are hosting the Auburn Geocaching Adventure 2016 - 20 caches placed in Auburn.
