アプトの道は信越本線の廃止区間である横川駅から軽井沢駅までのうち、横川駅から熊ノ平駅の区間を整備した遊歩道です。
めがね橋や旧丸山変電所などの碓氷峠鉄道遺産に触れることができます。
アプトの道にあるトンネル内の照明は18時以降消灯します。
それ以降の通行も禁止はされていませんが、日中の訪問をお勧めします。
Apt road is the esplanade where a discontinued railroad line, Shinetsu-line.
There are several tourist spots.
Notice: The light in tunnels are turned off after 18:00.
To enter the tunnel is not prohibited. However, I recommend to you visiting there in daytime.
第6隧道は約550mあり、碓氷峠で最長のトンネルです。
そのためトンネルの中ほどには排気用の天窓が作られており、同じ場所には5つほどの横坑があります。
これは長いトンネルの工事期間短縮のために途中からもトンネルを掘った際の入り口になります。
キャッシュはこの横坑の近くに隠しました。
スモールですがペンは入っていませんのでお持ちください。
The length of 6th tunnel is about 550 meters. It is the longest tunnel in Usui pass.
It was very long, so this tunnel was also dug from center.
The skylight was made for exhausts.
Cache is hidden near 5 side holes.(see pictures)
