Jikdo Island Traditional Cache

This cache is on an island in Boysen Resevoir not far from the Cottonwood boat launch.  This is a cache that was originally placed by Kurae under a different name but later archived.  Kurae has graciously let me take this over but it now has a new name!

This cache was originally called Sandstone Island but when I travelled to this island the first time it immediately reminded me of an island I visited in South Korea called Jikdo.  Jikdo is a small island of rock that we used as a bombing and gunnery range of the coast of Korea when I was stationed there.  I don't think it was much larger than these but certainly stronger material.  I think if this was used for target practice it would be reduced in a short time to nothing.  This cache is good sized.  As with the old cache advice be sure to tie up your boat prior to searching and if you venture out in winter please ensure you fully understand the ice conditions.
