We are only too happy to host this 11th anniversary event!
This month also happens to be a big MILESTONE for MILES STONE. He is celebrating a big birthday. So come prepared to pay tribute to, or ROAST the guy who hid so many of CT's great caches, and has given so much to the CT caching community. He taunted you to climb trees, cross scary bridges, roam our state parks, cross streams, reach high or crawl low, go home to gather tools and come back to try again, and solve puzzles. He created or collaborated on several major series and memorable caches- the Leatherman series, Tube series, The Biggest Loser, two Clue mystery series, the By Night series, and of course, The Well of Troubled Souls. He is co-founder of CCC Nites, and launcher of Milestone Marker l and ll travel bugs weighing a combined 407 pounds!. He has never sought quantity so much as quality in his caching adventures and hides.
What is your favorite KD & MS cache? Surely you must have a good story to tell around one of these caches, or perhaps a tale of an adventure with him. Perhaps he mentored you as a novice hider, coaxed you in to hosting your first event, challenged you to find a particular cache, or aggravated you as CT Reviewer. Whatever the case or story may be, I know MS would love to hear all about it!! Thanks for helping me create this special Miles Stone birthday memory, Katydid
On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina 1519 Silas Deane Hwy Rocky Hill, CT 6 pm to 9 pm
The Central Connecticut Cacher’s (CCC) Nite Out is an evening gathering on the first, or second Tuesday of every month (well, most months anyway). Mark your calendars now! Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend...you don't have to reside in CT, and you certainly don't have to be an experienced cacher...new folks are most welcome! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted. This event features new or rotating hosts every month, and changing locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact Katydid and Miles Stone (KD&MS). As host, you’ll arrange a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There are a number of places in the Greater Hartford area to enjoy good food and drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee, and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the central CT area..
