Join GCCO on December 11th in Parker for our annual Holiday celebration!

Join Geocaching Colorado for another great Holiday Party! This year we've switched venues again, and will be in the brand new beautiful library event hall in Parker, Colorado.

• What: GCCO's 2016 Holiday Event!

• When: Sunday December 11th, 2016 1:00PM-3:30PM

• Where: Parker Library in it's NEW location (We Are In The Main Event Hall)

  20105 East Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138

• Why: Fun, Geocaching Colorado Style!

Please remember to include in your 'Will Attend' how many kids are coming and their gender(s) and age(s) so we make sure to bring enough appropriate prizes!

The event will begin at 1:00PM and last until at least 3:30PM. GCCO will be providing light refreshments, but feel free to share your own delicious treats! The library allows 'light refreshments', so any type of finger foods; chips, veggies, deserts, etc. Basically, something that is easy to clean up in the event of a spill. Please note in your 'Will Attend' log if you are bringing snacks, that way everyone knows what to expect!

This is going to be another action-packed event! We will have activities for the kiddos (Kids Draffle and Kids Acvitity - SaranWrap Ball Game), a gift exchange, an ugly sweater contest, a sweet silent auction (with prizes donated by GCCO Board Members, Collectible and limited geocoins, and mystery boxes), A Bison Tube Christmas Tree, and a drawing for lots of cool prizes (including a GOLD GCCO Geocoin, and the grand prize of A UDI Quadcopter!). Here are the Details!

• To Join in on the Gift Exchange

  • Bring a gift to give away. Value $5-10, and it does not have to be geocaching-related

  • Drop it off at the gift exchange table and we will give you a ticket.

  • That's it! At the end of the event, we will pull tickets at random for people to come up and pick out a gift!

• To Participate in the Ugly Sweater Contest:

  • Wear an ugly sweater to the event.

  • When you sign the log, let the person attending that table know that you are participating in the contest and they will assign you a number.

  • Just before 2:00 we will ask everyone who wishes to participate in the contest to line up and model their uglyness

  • After all of the particpants have modeled their ugly sweaters, we will ask every attendee to vote for their favorite. The voting will close at the same time the Silent Auction ends so we can tally them up.

  • During the prize drawings starting at about 3:00 we will announce the winner of the Ugly Sweater contest!

• To Participate in Cool Drawings:

  • Everyone who attends will recieve one Free ticket to be entered into the GCCO Gold Coin Drawing

  • Every Child will also be given a free ticket for the Kids Draffle

  • Tickets for other the prizes will be 6 tickets for $5.00 and 1 for $1.00. Proceeds go to GCCO and cover event costs. GCCO is a sponsor of this event.

  • Bison Tubes may also have prizes. See the event volunteers for details.

The Return of The Bison Tube Christmas Tree!

Did you miss this last year and have no idea what we are talking about? You will have to see the volunteers at the ticket table for the details of this unique surprise with a rewarding twist.

Below is a general and preliminary timeline of the activities we have planned. This may change closer to the event date, so log your 'Will Attend' to be first to recieve the updates! *some things may be shorter than planned, some things tend to go longer than expected* We will be updating this timeline as the date gets closer and we come up with MORE cool activities.

• 1:00-1:20: General Mingling. Be sure to sign our logbook, and get your tickets for the various drawings! Enjoy some of the fine snacks and the best company that the state has to offer.
• 1:20: GCCO will make announcements, including the unveiling of the 2017 Board and Geocoin Design!
• 1:50: Ugly Sweater Catwalk show! Come to the event in your favorite 'Ugly Sweater' - vote for who has the ugliest!
• 2:00: Kids SaranWrap Ball Game! We will announce for all of the kiddos who wish to join us for a fun activity with prizes!
• 2:45: Silent Auction Ends! We hope you put in your winning bids, because we are closing the auction at 2:45 SHARP! Winners will be announced and delivered to during the Prize drawing.
• 3:00: Drawing for the GCCO GOLD COIN! This may be the last chance to get a Royal Gorge Gold Coin, since the only way to get one is to win one from an event!
• 3:05: Drawing for other fun prizes - many cool things, including geocoins, loaded geocaches, etc., and of course the GRAND PRIZE of a UDI Quadcopter!
• 3:30: Gift exchange Drawing! A huge hit over the past 2 years, so let's do it again for a third year! If you wish to participate, simply bring a gift (Value $5-$10) and drop it off at the designated table. You will recieve a ticket, and at 3:30 we will begin drawing tickets for people to come up and pick from the Gift Exchange!
