22. PKK: Info- ja ekopiste Traditional Cache

Oulangan kansallispuiston taukopaikoilla ei ole jäteastioita. Lähtökohtana on, että "Minkä jaksat täytenä puistoon kantaa, jaksat sen myös tyhjänä tuoda sieltä pois". Tulipaikoilla voit polttaa nuotiossa palavat jätteet ja laittaa eloperäiset jätteet kompostikäymälään. Sekajätteet tuo mukanasi joko ekopisteeseen tai vaikkapa kodin jäteastiaan saakka. Ainoastaan muutama ekopiste puistossa on varustettu lajitteluastioin.

Tästä infopisteeltä Iso Karhunkierros haarautuu vasempaan kohden Porontimajokea ja sen jälkeen kohti alkavaa vaarajonoa Kumpuvaara, Konttainen, Valtavaara ja Ruka. Tämä vaarajono muodostaa Ison Karhunkierroksen fyysisesti vaativimman loppuhuipennuksen kierroksen päätteeksi.

Oikealle haarautuva polku vie Myllykosken myllylle ja sieltä edelleen Juumaan Pienen Karhunkierroksen lähtöpisteelle.

In Oulanka Nature Park there are no trash cans at the resting and fireplaces. The basic idea is that “The full packages that you are able to carry into the park, you can carry them away when they are empty”. At fireplaces you can burn all flammable waste and put the organic waste into composter latrine. Bring all miscellaneous waste with you either into the Ekopiste (=a place where are trash cans) or even into the trash can at your home. There are only a few Ekopiste with trash cans in the park.

From here Iso Karhunkierros goes to the left towards Porontimajoki and after that towards series of mountains Kumpuvaara, Konttainen, Valtavaara and Ruka. These mountains form the final culmination for Karhunkierros, physically the most demanding part of the whole route.

To the right the trail leads to Myllykoski and further to Juuma att tahe starting point of Pieni Karhunkierros.

Kätkösarja Pienen Karhunkierroksen (PKK) maisemissa. Reitin pituus on noin 12 km. Reitin kätköt kannattaa kiertää numerojärjestyksessä.

Liikkumisrajoitukset:
Reitti Pyöreälammelta Harrisuvantoon kulkee Oulangan kansallispuiston rajoitusosassa (Juuman vuomat), jossa liikkuminen on sallittu ainoastaan merkityillä reitillä, huomioi tämä kätköillä 6. - 9. niitä etsiessäsi et tarvitse rikkoa liikkumiskieltoa.

Tämän kätkön sijainnin on tarkastanut ja hyväksynyt Metsähallituksen paikallinen valvoja.

Kätkö sijaitsee Oulangan kansallispuistossa, joten sinun tulee noudattaa puiston ohjeita ja sääntöjä, sekä Pienen Karhunkierroksen ohjeita ja sääntöjä!

The cache trail is located along the Pieni Karhunkierros (PKK). The length of the route is about 12 km. Cache trail is better go around in numerical order.

Restrictions for Entrance:
Between Lake Pyöreälampi and Harrisuvanto the trail leads through a restricted area within Oulanka National Park. In this area visitors are not allowed to wander off the marked trails. Please, especially attention should be payed to caches 6. - 8. in that area. You don´t need to break prohibition when you find those caches.

The caches are located in Oulanka National park, so you have to comply with park instructions and rules, as well as Pieni Karhunkierros trail instructions and rules!
