This years Event will be held on Saturday Dec 3rd at the Round Table Pizza at the Vancouver Mall.. The time is 12-2 but you are always free to linger longer and share more stories with the crowd. The cords should take you right to the door. They have an awesome salad bar and their Pizza is outstanding...They also have other things such as Hamburgers, fries and much more. However, you do not have to eat in order to come to the Event. Just come and visit if you would like.
I just LOVE Christmas and all is stands for...I enjoy the Hustle and Bustle of Shoppers out trying to find just the right gift for a loved one...All the beautiful decorations displayed in the stores, and homes, the smell of pine as we pick out just the right tree. etc. However, its more fun now that I've found a new lifeline...Geocaching...I get the Privilege of Hosting Events, like a Christmas get together with others who enjoy the same Hobby..We get to have fun talking about all our adventures (good and bad ones) LOL
This is no different, except, "Christmas" will be in the air...That means we need to have extra FUN activities for all our Geocaching friends and family...This year our WSGA Southwest Chapter Representatives Ray and Brenda Harrison are going to make it really fun by having an "UGLY Sweater" Contest...So start searching for the ugliest sweater you have or hit the Good Will.. :O) There will be a special prize for the winner of Ugly Sweater Contest.
We are also having the usual Christmas Gift Exchange, which I will be hosting......Please keep the cost to $10-$15. Each person that wants to enjoy the exchange will receive a ticket as their gift is placed under the Tree..As with the Ugly Sweater Contest, you do not have to participate in the Gift Exchange.. Of course it wouldn't be an Event if we didn't have a few Door Prizes to give away... :O) I've also been told that a beautiful quilt made by Connie Peasley will be Raffled off...Bring your Tickets that you have purchased from other SW Chapter Events. You will have an opportunity to purchase Tickets at the door for $1 each or 6 for $5.00. The Quilt Raffle is a fund raising effort for the WSGA SW Chapter to help fund future events. A warm Quilt sounds pretty good to me right now...Burrrrr..... Hope to see you all there..
