Geocache Description:

Here is a place we would recommend to every visitor to Ipoh. From our GZ, you can look around and experience much of "quintessential Perak" in a clean, pleasant and usually relaxed environment. We truly recommend you visit the cave temple nearby- it is one of the cleanest and most impressive in Malaysia, and wander around the area to enjoy the sights.

We recommend you leave one hour as a mimimum to visit the Gua Kek Look Tong locale, but if you have more time, you can enjoy some relaxation here and really take in the ambiance. There is a lot to see and do here, so slow down and take it all in. The vicinity is beautifully maintained and the gardens are a delight and a surprise.  Around the site you are likely to see many long-tailed macaques (monkeys), impressive stalagmites and stalagtites, religious icons and, just a few steps from GX, so many turtles, they are almost climbing over each other in the water. Sweep your gaze up higher to appreciate the majestic limestone cliffs, with interesting stratification and folds, and jungle plants fighting each other for footholds in the rock. During Chinese religious celebrations, Chinese New Year and public holidays, this site can become quite busy. It would be a lot easier to retrieve the cache unobserved if you come during the week, or early morning or evening after most of the visitors have left.

You will find our cache within 20m of the listed co-ordinates. The high cliffs make it difficult to get an accurate GPS reading, so we have provided a spoiler photo to help you narrow down your search. The cache is at around eye level. Please put a rock either side of the cache to hide it from curious eyes, after you replace it. Bring your own pen to sign the log.
