Geocache Description:

Resistors are arguably the most common electronic device. They're so prevalent most of us use them daily.

All who successfully solved the original puzzle

Feel free to send me your checksum verified ratio

I will email you the revised final coordinates

The resistor's primary job is to limit the amount of current that flows through a circuit. Ohm is the unit used to express how much resistance a resistor provides.  The uppercase Greek letter Omega represents this unit.

I call your attention to the colorful bands on the resistors in the image above. They have a special meaning based on color and position.  I'll share a handy color-chart that should prove useful in determining a given resistor value. You'll use the chart to help you solve the six challenges of this fun, educational, puzzle cache.

Solve for Position-A -- Compare resistors

The second-band of the resistor with the highest value

Solve for Position-B -- Compare resistors

Double the value of the 2nd-band on the smallest resistor then add one (1).

Solve for Position-C -- Parallel branch

The first band of the resistor in the parallel branch then subtract one (1) from that value.

Solve for Position-D -- Series branch

The first band of the resistor in series branch is what you need.

Solve for Position-E -- Connected to cadmium sulfide photo cell

The second band is what you seek.

photo Solution E - Pick the resistor connected to CSPC.jpg

Solve for Position-F -- Connect to transistor base

The first band of the correct resistor is the value you seek minus one (1).
