Megalomaniac is the name for a potential cache that will never see the light of day. A future idea that was intended for the ill fated Halloween Mega event. While the idea lives on, the dastardly creation will sadly never terrorise the geocachers of this lifetime. However for the caches namesake we remember the series of HH&CC caches over the years with this puzzle...

Adult unfriendly backstory:Over the years we've run a number of successful HH&CC events, however thankfully one piece of information didn't become public otherwise the events may not have been so popular. At the first Halloween event, unbeknown to the event organisers, a geocacher went missing. It wasn't until the following year that this fact was discovered and their body was discovered by an unsuspecting event participant not far from the location of the final puzzle cache of the evening. Most disturbingly it appears that certain body parts had been removed from the dead geocachers body. The police were informed at the time and mounted a full investigation, however no further information came to light and the case was left unsolved. Now to the really scary part: Since announcing this event will be taking part, the following message has mysteriously appeared on all the new cache page listings before they were published: your fellow dismembered geocacher remains await to be found. Best solve the case else more victims may be plucked from the dark.
The following photos of the dismembered body parts were also posted on the unlisted cache page. Disturbingly the body parts appear to have been tattooed with GPS locations! Please help us unravel who the perpetrator is to help keep future geocachers safe. The police are too short of staff at present to assist with solving puzzles apparently. They said to phone 666 if we discover any dark secrets.
