Geocache Description:

Since Halloween is in October, I thought this would be a fitting cache 😈

Min Xiong Ghost House, also known as the Liu Family Mansion 劉家古厝, is a century-old European style brick mansion in the Chiayi countryside, rising three stories from the clutches of the jungle. It has been abandoned since the Japanese occupation of Taiwan; the floors and ceiling have long rotted away, leaving only a hollow shell which is gradually being engulfed by the surrounding trees.

As with any "haunted house," legends abound, including the more salacious tale of a servant girl who was having an affair with the master. When their relationship was exposed, the young woman committed suicide by jumping down the well. This well is still in front of the house.

The main structure and outbuildings are a fascinating--and some say creepy--fusion of brick and tree growth.

This place doesn't really have an address; nonetheless, it has become a popular tourist spot, especially with college students. There's even a Ghost House Café next door. I placed the cache in the early morning and didn't see any other people, so this may be the best time to avoid muggles. Warning: Being an abandoned building, there are many mosquitoes about, which will haunt you much more than any ghosts!

The plastic container is big enough for small TBs and swag. Bring your own pen, and please hide the container the same way you found it.

Note: It was difficult to get precise coordinates so please refer to the hint.
