Pelecanus Conspicillatus
The Australian Pelican is a large waterbird of the family Pelecanidae.
They are widespread on inland and coastal waters of Australia and New Guinea, also in Fiji, parts of Indonesia and as a vagrant in New Zealand.
The Australian Pelican is a black and white bird with a very large bill and pink bill pouch
This pouch turns a reddish colour in mating displays.
The Cache Area
Lake Charm is a small town situated on the Murray Valley Highway, just west of a lake of the same name.
Located in the northwest of Victoria, Australia, within the Shire of Gannawarra.
Lake Charm is 19 km from Kerang and 40 km south of Swan Hill, the nearest city. The area is a popular destination for waterskiing, boating, fishing and scenic drives.
