Geocache Description:

A small camo cache with room for small swaps. BYO Pen.

Norwood station opened in September 1882 and closed in December 1970. Norwood is a small locality in Canterbury as Google states - a populated area. It is a a busy farming area and had a tipical country station with a goods shed.

This pile of rubble concrete and pipes - is it the remains of the station or some other structure in the area. This is the approximate site of the station. Info provided by Kiwi Moose re - aerial photography from 1942 now makes me think that these may the what is letf of perhaps a Station Masters house, the goods shed was on the other side of the tracks from this point - thanks KM.
