Geocache Description:

Date of Event: Sunday 10/30/16  Time: 5:00-6:30 PM

Let's get together for a meal at Holder's Country Inn in S. San Jose.  Enjoy an early dinner while socializing with fellow geocachers.  Any who wish to stay in the area after the event, are welcome to join Micro-Owls on some night caching adventures including Zombie Eyes***Night Cache and Night Cache-Silver Creek. See details following the Event Description.

Dinner Event is a pre-Halloween celebration at the above coordinates.  It's a family friendly restaurant that serves burgers, entrees and (my personal favorite) breakfast all day!  Please feel free to come in costume :-)  TBs can be traded and discovered, but please don't leave them behind when the event ends.

Anyone who is in the area before the event will find a tremendous variety of caches all around S. San Jose and Morgan Hill. For example, in one area of about a half mile, you can find a Virtual Cache (Cottle Ranch), and nearby a Wherigo, Multicache, and traditional and Mystery caches!

For those who wish to join in Night-caching after the event, please bring layers of clothing appropriate for the weather.  Also bring flashlights and UV lights if you have them. Micro-Owls will bring some glowsticks.   Zombie Eyes is a nearby cache that is truly spooky enough for this moonless Halloween's eve.  It wil be visited first because of its earlier closing time.  Then, on to Silver Creek, also a short drive away.  Finally, for those craving something even more chilling, Halloween 2013 (GC4P1Q) is also nearby. This is a D5 multicache with 27 favorite points. The few who've tried it at night (and returned to tell the tale)  gave it high marks for creepiness!  However a few warnings: please carpool if you decide to do this cache.  It's on an isolated road where there isn't much parking.  Cars go by fast- everyone should use caution, but this spot would be inappropriate for children at night.

Finally, Special thanks to Valoha, who created all of the bloodcurdling caches we'll be visiting after the event!
