It’s that time of year again! The leaves are changing, hoodies are coming out of the closet, and pumpkin spice EVERYTHING!!!!!
Oh yeah, it’s also time for HALLOWEEN!!! Halloween, which is also known as all hallows’ eve originated as the night’s festivities before All Hallows’ Day, which kicked off Allhallowtide. Allhallowtide was three days of honoring saints and recently departed souls that have not yet reached their final destination…..
Ok, enough of the history, time to cut to the chase…
What are we up to on this All Hallows’ Eve? Easy, everything we have enjoyed about Halloween since we were kids!!! Scary Stories, Trick or Treating, costumes, candy corn, pumpkins, ghosts, goblins, and ghouls!!!
Ok, maybe not all of those things….. We are not very good at scary stories (just look at our log on Tsmola’s Creepshow), Trick or Treating takes WAYYYYYYY too long….. and no one really likes candy corn, right?!?!
So, we will just have a nice gathering of Geocachers in Russ Forest for a good time swapping stories, enjoying some goodies, laughing at all the costumes, and maybe a little caching!
We will provide doughnuts and cider for all attendees, as well as prizes for anyone that dresses up, and of course we will have some goodies for the little ones!!!
We will meet at the west pavilion from 4pm until 6pm, so we can be out by dusk. We will also place a couple new caches for the event, so make sure you bring your GPSr!!
