AP11 Driving Apokoronas - Souda View Traditional Cache

This is a traditional park and grab cache.

We enjoy driving down this road with its fine views over Gavalochori to Souda Bay.  It's amazing how much development this area has seen since 2006 but it remains a very pretty area with spectacular views. There are some good restaurants down in Gavalochori and a museum as well as a beautiful large church. We walked this way one Easter Day and met some local ladies who  gave us each a  special sweet bread to celebrate the holy day. Local people are still very generous to visitors to this island.
