Geocache Description:

Kit Hill Country Park a World Heritage Site for mining and part of the Tamar Valley A.O.N.B (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) has always been one of my favourite places to walk so it seemed only fitting for me to hide my first cache here. Kit Hill was given to Cornwall Council by the Duchy of Cornwall for the people of Cornwall in 1985, to celebrate the birth of Prince William.

The cache is in an area of heathland accessible along clearly defined tracks. It can get muddy in wet weather, it is a country park, so suitable footwear is advisable. It was also heavily mined but all mine shafts are fenced off or walled off and there is no need to cross any fence or wall except through gated access. This cache involves a wall - there is no need to climb on it or over it.

This is a very popular dog walking area so be aware, there can be a lot of muggles about. There may well be cattle or ponies grazing the heathland.

Car parking - Three car parks, first immediately on left as you enter the park, the second half way up the hill to the summit and one on the summit. The cache is easily accessible from car parks 1 & 2.

You will need to bring your own pen.
