Famosa per la celebre rapina degli anni Cinquanta, la prima "all'americana", fortunatamente incruenta, la via Osoppo ospita uno dei più famosi mercati di Milano.
Va da piazzale Brescia a piazza Velasquez ed ospita moltissime bancarelle alimentari, specialmente di frutta e verdura, pesce, formaggi. Non manca un Acciugaro, con pesce sotto sale di diversi tipi.
Ci sono comunque bancarelle di scarpe, pantofole e abbigliamento.
Si tiene il giovedì dalle 7.30 alle 14 e il sabato dalle 7.30 alle 18.
In via Osoppo, nessuna lapide racconta che qui, la mattina del 27 febbraio 1958, la storia della Milano criminale cambiò per sempre, perché l'audace colpo delle «tute blu» fece irruzione nell'immaginario collettivo non solo dei lettori un po' ingenui dei rotocalchi dell'epoca, ma anche della stessa malavita cittadina, che si convinse che il salto di qualità era alla portata di tutti, e che le rapine in grande stile non erano appannaggio solo dei gangster americani cantati dai b movie.
