Dęby szypułkowe nad Wisłą to rzadki widok. Dąb rośnie nie tylko na nizinnych lasach mieszanych, ale również na łęgach i grądach. Drzewo to dobrze znosi okresowe zalewanie.
Dąb szypułkowy i bezszypułkowy często tworzy mieszańce o cechach pośrednich. Najłatwiej rozróżnić te dwa gatunki po kształcie i unerwieniu liści, oraz po długości szypułki. Pozostałe cechy są w dużej mierze zbieżne lub różnice pomiędzy nimi są mało widoczne i posłużenie się nimi może być zawodne przy próbie ustalenia gatunku.
Dęby występujące w tym miejscu nie mogą się równać ze swoim nieżyjącym imiennikiem z Kromnowa w powiecie sochaczewskim, które obwód wynosił około 500 cm a wysokość ponad 25 metrów, ale i tak stanowią dość niecodzienny widok.
