Geocache Description:

Welcome to the northeast's Cache-O-Lantern geoart.

To complete this art you will need to hike about EIGHT to NINE miles and find SEVENTY-SIX unique micro caches which are laid out in basically a fairly straight forward and easy to follow loop in PA State Game Lands south of Hazelton...........SGL #141. NONE of these caches are actually at the listed coordinates of course. You will be learning a few things about pumpkins as you solve the puzzles in order to get the locations of the physical containers! Most of the puzzles are very easy to moderately easy since we want you to have low frustration solving the puzzles so that you can enjoy the long hike in this very pretty area in NEPA! The caches are all placed within 100 feet of roadways or trails, and are all small sized preform tubes hanging between 2 and 6 feet off the ground........EXCEPT one which will require minor tree climbing ~~WINK~~.

You will also need to do a couple of other traditional caches which are NOT part of the art, but getting a smiley on them will make the Cache-O_Lantern art look much better on your map. Since they are basically along your route anyway, we encourage you to stop for them! .

Some of these caches have fairly high terrain ratings, so make sure you are up to the challenge.......this is NOT a P&G sort of geoart! You will need several hours to complete it all and so me reminding you to bring plenty of water and snacks is an obvious statement. You will also want to be sure to bring spare batteries and a flashlight in case darkness "catches" you! You will be quite far from the highway at certain points.
AND REMEMBER:........In hunting seasons BE SURE TO WEAR BRIGHT ORANGE to be seen by hunters! In fact, in the fall deer and turkey seasons (approximately from October to December) it is MANDATORY to wear orange while in the SGL.......200 square inches worth or you WILL be fined!

Now to the puzzle. You will need to answer a question about Pumpkins. The questions will be straight forward and easy to Google, but many will be obvious or common sense, and so a checker on the pages should not be necessary.
