Geocache Description:

After the huge success of the first two

Geocaching in Middlesex events

we are pleased to invite you to attend #3.

Tuesday 22nd November 2016

6:30 - 9:30pm (any time after is bonus time)

The Hare and Hounds pub,

132 Vicarage Road, Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex TW16 7QX

www.hareandhoundssunbury.co.uk

The pub have reserved the restaurant area for us, which is on the right hand side of the building. Look out for the Middlesex table flag, and for those who don't know me I will wear a 'Dumpster41' name badge, so please come and say hello upon arrival and I will introduce you the the regular crowd.

Free parking is available in the pub's own car park and also in residential streets nearby.

The venue is only a 2 minute drive from the M3 junction 1, or a short walk from Sunbury train station, and the number 235 bus stops a short distance down the road outside.

Events are a great way to meet fellow cachers and share caching stories (or even pick up a few hints for those puzzles) over a glass or two. If you've never been to an event before, you'll be made very welcome, whether you are from Middlesex, or further afield.

There will be the normal opportunity to swap and discover Travel Bugs and Geocoins.

Caches will be published to coincide with the event again!.

Please leave a 'Will Attend' note on the cache page and advise if you expect to eat, so we can get some idea of the numbers expected and let the venue know roughly how many we will be / will be eating.

The pub serves food from 6pm to 9pm and you can find the menu on their website, although this is due to change on 1st November s please look after then.

I look forward to seeing you all their at the first event I have hosted.

Geocaching in Middlesex (GIM) meets take place every other month and a normally the 3rd or 4th Tuesday of the month (with variations) so if you would like to host the next meeting please let us know.

Sunbury-on-Thames is historically in Middlesex. Under the Local Government Act of 1888 County Councils were established the following year, with Sunbury governed by the new Middlesex County Council. This was further refined by the creation of Sunbury-on-Thames Urban District in 1894. In 1965, most of Middlesex was absorbed into Greater London. However, the Sunbury-on-Thames Urban District was instead transferred to the County of Surrey. The Royal Mail did not adopt the change in 1965 and the postal county remained Middlesex
