Search the Related Web Page for BRITISH TUBE MILLS BRG 264/40/1-89 a collection of 93 glass plate negatives of the British Tube Mills (BTM) factory at Kilburn from the beginning of the factory's construction in 1939 until 1952. The images show machinery and procedures used in the factory in the manufacture of various products including gas cylinders and cycle rims.

BFE was an employee at the BTM factory from 1962 until the factory closed in 1992.

In 1970 the factory was renamed Tubemakers of Australia BTM Division.

Most of the machines shown in the images were replaced with state of the art tubemaking equipment, often developed at the site. Some of the original machines were still operational at the time of closure.
