Home Plate Traditional Cache

This cache is at the gateway to Country Hills in Torrance. Home of the icon pizzaria, Lamppost Pizza. Country Hills is known for its wild peacocks that roam the neighborhood at will. The residents sign a waiver that prevents them from touching or interferring with the free movement of these proud birds. It is rare, but they can be seen walking with their families slowly up and down the streets visiting the residents' porches or even perching themselves on top of the houses. More often than a peacock sighting you will hear their calls in the afternoon. It's a very unique but homey call.

For the cache: Picture a baseball diamond infield with Lampost at first base. Round the bases to home. Rather than push button for a walk, slide (down) into home plate to score. Bring your own writing utensil. Be safe!
