In the spirit of Halloween we give you the story of Norman Cache. This is a fun, seasonal cache with the reminder of safety brought to you by Team Amazzzed.
This careless newbie wanted to do one more cache on his way home but became a victim of the heat. He hurried back to his car for water. Paying no attention, a rattlesnake slithered into his path. What he thought was a stick became his worst nightmare. He frightened the snake and it reacted in a natural way. Norman limped to the nearest tree to seek shade but he knew his fate. A rattler can still be found near his grave as to pay respect and watch over his spirit. The name Norman was given to this geocacher from the song "Spirit in the Sky". Who did this song? Plenty of parking here but watch for cars (blind spot in road). Don't forget to close the gate. Cache is on ASTL and geocachers must purchase a recreation permit which is available on the [Arizona State Land Department's website](https://land.az.gov/natural-resources/recreational-permits).
