Wie komme ich zum Cache?
Um zum Cache zu gelangen, kannst du den Wanderweg verwenden den ich mittlerweile als Wegpunkt (Wegbeginn Schmaler Pfad/ Small path) markiert habe. Kplaser hat den genauen Verlauf netterweise in seinem Log vermerkt. Du wanderst dabei auf sehr schmalen Pfaden bis direkt zum Cache. Wie auf der Karte ersichtlich, beginnt der Weg gegenüber dem Parkplatz (Parkplatz “Gfreade Pipn“/ “Gfreade Pipn“). Im Frühling und Sommer kann ich diesen Wegbeginn nur beschränkt weiterempfehlen, da dann der Schmale Weg total verwachsen ist und man mit vielen Dornen rechnen muss.

Der andere Wegbeginn (Wegbeginn Glashütten/ Glashütten) liegt zwar nicht direkt an der Bundesstraße, eignet sich aber auch sehr gut. Um zu diesem Wegbeginn zu gelangen kannst du von der Bundesstraße Richtung Bad Leonfelden aus beim Parkplatz (Parkplatz Drive In Parkplatz/ Drive In parking area) rechts abbiegen und der Landstraße bis zu einer “Pferderanch“ folgen. Die andere Option wäre, das Feuerwehrhaus von Dreiegg ausfindig zu machen und dort Richtung Glashütten abzubiegen. Halte dich immer links bis du bei der “Pferderanch“ angekommen bist.
Dieser Weg erwartet dich, wenn du vom Wegbeginn Glashütten in den Wald kommst!

Natürlich gibt es auch Parkmöglichkeiten entlang der Bundesstraße. Eine davon wäre die Parkmöglichkeit (Parkplatz "Gfreade Pipn"/ "Gfreade Pipn"). Diese Parkmöglichkeit eignet sich wirklich sehr gut, wenn du den Wegbeginn (Wegbeginn Schmaler Pfad/ Small path) benutzen möchtest. Außerdem befindet sich hier auch eine Bushaltestelle. Nach dem Cache hast du hier auch die Gelegenheit ins Gasthaus einzukehren. 🍺
Dort kannst du parken, wenn du ins Gasthaus einkehren möchtest.

Die zweite Parkmöglichkeit liegt ebenfalls direkt an der Bundesstraße. Deshalb auch der Name (Parkplatz Drive In Parkplatz/ Drive In parking area). Dieser Parkplatz liegt sehr nahe dem Cache Surprise for Mike 2 - happy birthday.
Über den Cache...
Mit diesem eher leichten Tradi Cache zwischen Zwettl an der Rodl und Bad Leonfelden möchte ich dir eine sehr interessante und abgelegene Stelle zeigen. Mich hat diese so sehr fasziniert, dass ich mir dachte sie sei einen Cache wert.
So haben wir dieses Doserl eher zufällig auf dem Weg zum Cache Surprise for Mike 2 - happy birthday “verloren”.
Wie der Name des Caches schon verrät, hat dieser Cache etwas mit Moos zu tun. Die Stelle die mich so fasziniert hat, war nämlich voller Moos!
Moos ist wirklich eine faszinierende Pflanze!
Wusstest du beispielsweise, dass Moos vermutlich schon seit über 450 Millionen Jahren unsere Erde besiedelt? Oder dass Moose für die Photosynthese, also den Vorgang mit dem Pflanzen Kohlenstoffdioxid zu Sauerstoff umwandeln, fast kein Licht brauchen?
Moose besiedeln die ganze Welt! Von der eiskalten Tundra, über heimische Wälder bis hin zu extrem trockenen Wüsten. Forscher haben es allein durch Auftauen geschafft, Moos das ganze 1500 Jahre eingefroren war wieder zum Wachsen und Blühen zu bringen. Sogar das Einfrieren bei Temperaturen von - 194° C stellt für diese Pflanze kein Problem dar!
Die Einteilung der Moose gliedert sich in Horn-, Laub- und Lebermoose. Ich glaube die häufigste Moos Art in der Umgebung des Caches ist das Wellenblättrige Katharinenmoos (Atrichum undulatum) 🤓

Was brauche ich?
Für diesen Cache brauchst du eigentlich nur scharfe Augen und einen Stift zum loggen da meiner entfernt wurde.
Über den Behälter...
Bei dem Behälter dieses Caches handelt es sich um eine etwa 8 cm lange Plastikröhre mit weißem Verschluss.
Hier kannst du schon einmal einen Blick auf den kleinen Micro werfen!

Auch bei diesem Cache zählen sämtliche Arten von Logs (Fotolog, Einträge im Logbuch,...) Die Logs werden von mir jedes Jahr kontrolliert, und nicht nachweisbare Logs gelöscht. 📷 📝
Falls das Logbuch voll sein sollte, bitte ich darum mir einfach eine kurze Mail zu schreiben damit ich bescheid weiß. Ich werde mich dann so schnell wie möglich auf den Weg machen und es austauschen! 📧
Natürlich erwarte ich von dir, dass du mit der Natur ordentlich umgehst, wie es sich für einen Cacher eben gehört! Bitte beachte auch unbedingt, dass das Moos weder heruntergerissen noch anders beschädigt werden muss. ☝🏼

How to get to the cache?
You can take the start (start Schmaler Pfad/ Small path). Meanwhile I have marked this waypoint. Kpalser also marked the path in his log. You walk on a very narrow path to the cache. You can see on the map, that this start is situated next to the parking area (parking area “Gfreade Pipn”/ ”Gfreade Pipn”). During spring or summer I don´t really recommend this path because it is totally overgrown by different plants with thorns. p>

The other start (start Glashütten/ Glashütten) is not situated at the A Road to Bad Leonfelden, but it is also a possible start. To get to this start you can turn right at the A Road and follow the country road until you reach a horse ranch. The other option is to search for the fire brigade of Dreiegg and turn to Glashütten. Keep left until you reach the horse ranch.
You pass this way when you arrive the forest at the start Glashütten!

Sure there are some parking areas on the A Road. One parking area (parking area “Gfreade Pipn“/ “Gfreade Pipn“) is suitable if you want to start at the start (start Schmaler Pfad/ Small path). Moreover there is a bus stop at this parking area. You have the chance to take a rest at the inn here. 🍺
You can park here if you want to go to the inn after doing the cache.

The second parking area (parking area Drive In Parkplatz/ Drive In parking area) is also a roadside parking area. It is situated close to the cache Surprise for Mike 2 - happy birthday.
About the cache...
With this quite simple tradi between Zwettl an der Rodl and Bad Leonfelden I want to show you a very interesting remoted place. I was very fascinated by this place, that´s why I decided to place a cache here.
So we placed the cache here, while walking to the cache Surprise for Mike 2 - happy birthday
Just as the Cache´s name implies, the cache is about moss. This place is full of moss at all!
Moss is a really fascinating plant!
Did you know, that moss probably exists for 450 million years on our earth now? Or that moss only needs very less light for photosynthesis?
Moss colonizes the whole world! From the icecold tundra or our woods to hot deserts. There are some research projects that showed that moss can still grow on, even if it was frozen for 1500 years! For this amazing plant it is no problem at all to survive temeratures of -194 C°!
I think there is lots of common smoothcap moss (Atrichum undulatum) around the cache. 🤓

What do I need?
For this cache you only need sharp eyes and a pencil because mine was taken away.
About the box...
The box is an about 8 cm long, plastic tube with a white cap.
