Geocache Description:

Located along the banks of the Thames River north of the dam in Mitchell. Best accessed by kayak or canoe while the water levels are up, or when drained, hike to the cache when all is safely frozen.

Placed this cache on a day of kayaking to take in the beauty of the fall colours. Also saw many geese, ducks, sea gulls, songbirds, fish and a pair of Great Blue Herons followed us around. Please remember to treat this area as a C.I.T.O as you go through, and please bring a writing stick with you, there is room for the log but not much else. Should be easy to spot once on the bank, please be certain to replace the camouflage as the cache can be partially seen from the river at the right angle. Happy Hunting!
