Geocache Description:

Placed in preparation for the NCAC Spring Camporee 2017 to celebrate Goshen's 50th anniversary. One of the programs will be Geocaching/Map and Compass.

Placed just inside the Goshen Scout Reservation boundry with permission and confirmation gz is in an acceptable location for scouters and other hikers. If you are at the camp, take the Anderson Trail to the Little Peak Trail located in Camp Bowman. Other cachers should park at Swinging Bridge and take Hunters Trail to Little Peak. Bushwacking is involved but the terrain is not too difficult. While in the area hike the trails and look for other the caches. Look for the scenic views of Lake Merriweather. Make sure you have your map and know where you are going. It is easy to get lost if you are not paying attention. Ranger Mike has had to make many rescues over the years. Was told the area hasn't changed much in 50 years, hope it doesn't for another 50!
